West Ham set to battle Wolves and Newcastle to sign Dynamo Kyiv winger Viktor Tsygankov

West Ham are reportedly set to battle Wolves and Newcastle to sign the highly-coveted Dynamo Kyiv winger Viktor Tsygankov.

According to French media outlet Jeunes Footeux, the 24-year-old could very well leave the Ukrainian club at the end of the season when he becomes a free agent.

Apart from the Premier League trio, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also keeping tabs on the Ukraine international.

West Ham

Makes sense

Jarrod Bowen faces an uncertain future at the club and if one of the Premier League’s big teams come calling next summer, he may find it hard to turn down.

If he goes on to be picked for the England squad and has a good World Cup, he will also come on the radar of top European clubs.

Much like Declan Rice, Bowen is also an asset that West Ham can’t hold on to forever and will have to cash in at a high price if the right offer is made for them.

It makes sense to prepare for replacements and Tsygankov is the ideal one for Bowen and can also feature on the left – giving David Moyes the option of using him on either flank.

Moyes relies on set pieces as the means to score goals and with Gianluca Scamacca in the side, he would need someone with the pin-point accuracy of picking him inside the six-yard box.

West Ham

According to Scouted Football, the Ukraine winger is the ideal option – “Tsygankov already has a trademark corner routine. They are whipped with his brilliant left foot towards the near post, before swinging outwards towards the dreaded corridor of uncertainty between the penalty spot and the six-yard box. They are the type of corners that defenders hate to come up against.”

Having a left-footed right winger is always a horror to defend against and West Ham could hit gold dust if they manage to secure his services.

He’s also won numerous awards including the Golden Talent of Ukraine thrice as well as the Ukrainian Footballer of the Year.
