West Ham ready to move for Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic

West Ham are reportedly ready to step in for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic in the summer transfer window.

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, the likes of Roma, Fiorentina and Inter Milan are also in the mix to sign the Serbian winger.

He is an experienced player with over 350 club games and 64 career goals and has a contract at the German club till 2023.

Big no

He will be a free agent next year, so there is a chance that the Hammers can get him at a cut-price deal.

Kostic is primarily a left-sided midfielder cum winger, who has been impressive this season for the Bundesliga outfit, managing 10 assists in all competitions.

A few years ago, he would have been a cracking signing for the club, but at the moment, getting him on board makes little sense.

At 29, he is not getting younger, and there is no guarantee that he will adapt to the pace of the league quickly.

His stats show that he can pick passes and he is very good at crossing.

However, he is not the type of players West Ham should be looking to sign in the summer as they aim to break into the top four.

Ideally, the Hammers must get hold of someone like Raphinha who can make a big difference to the side, or players who are in their early 20-s, who have got tremendous potential to grow.

In other West Ham news, the club are chasing a six-figure deal to sign this exciting teenage talent from Scotland.
