West Ham ready major January spend with Romeo Vermant transfer mission set
Nuno Espirito Santo desperately needs reinforcements at West Ham already.
West Ham’s 2-0 defeat to Brentford at home means that Nuno has yet to win a game of football since replacing Graham Potter.
Jamie O’Hara could not believe his eyes at West Ham’s display, while Jason Cundy made an early Championship prediction for West Ham after another disappointing performance in the Premier League.
With the Hammers 19th in the first division and a swift turnaround needed, Nuno will need reinforcements this winter window.
Step forward, Romeo Vermant.

West Ham could spend £20million on Romeo Vermant
West Ham want to sign Club Brugge forward Vermant this summer, according to Alan Nixon via his Patreon on 21 October.
It is understood that the Hammers will be in Germany to watch him play against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, and are ready to spend big in January.
Brugge have a great reputation for scouting, developing and selling players and will want upwards of £20million to part with the attacker over the coming months.
This comes after West Ham were tipped to bring Ivan Toney back to the Premier League on loan, with a double move already on the cards.

However, the Hammers will need to act soon if they want to secure the signature of the upcoming talent who is tipped to be a future star for Belgium.
How has Romeo Vermant performed this season?
Vermant has had a decent start to the Belgian Pro League season, netting one goal in four starts for Bruges.
While there is every chance that he could succeed with the Hammers, a deeper delve into his stats via Sofascore shows he is far from the finished product.
Indeed, the forward has netted every 340 minutes for his side from 1.24 in expected goals.
- He has registered 1.4 per 90 in total shots
- Vermant has missed two big chances
- He has a 9 per cent goal conversion rate
These stats tell West Ham fans several things. The first is that his team are not creating enough goal-scoring opportunities for him. A handful of shots taken in four starts and eight appearances constitutes more than poor finishing.
However, that is not to say that his finishing has been elite. Indeed, with limited shots, he has missed two big chances, which does not bode well.
But while he may not be the answer to West Ham’s immediate goal-scoring woes, with his potential, Vermant will definitely be one for the future.
