West Ham preparing £15m offer for Matheus Pereira

West Ham United are plotting a £15million offer for West Brom playmaker Matheus Pereira, according to ExWHUemployee.

The Brazilian is highly courted by Premier League sides and clubs around the world, and the Irons are keen to win the race.

The Irons are said to want a loan-to-buy deal for Pereira, but West Brom are keen to bring in cash for their own business and would prefer a straight sale.

Writing on The West Ham Way Patreon this morning, Ex shared the major update that suggests an offer will be coming imminently.

“Talks are also still ongoing with West Brom over Matheus Pereira,” he wrote.

“Again, West Ham prefer a loan move with an option to buy but WBA which to sell. The club are currently in negotiations with this and we have competition from other clubs. We are considering going back in with a £15m cash offer.”

Stepping up.

Despite it likely not being enough, West Ham lodging an official offer for Pereira would kickstart negotiations in this final month.

The Baggies need funds to complete serious business, that is no secret, and if no other offers come through, the Irons could take advantage.

Pereira was sensational in a struggling side last season and could replace the goals, assists and creativity of Jesse Lingard, who could cost double this reported initial offer.

The Brazilian has yet to feature in pre-season after he requested to minimise the risk of injury, and he will be raring to go.

Based on this information, though, it doesn’t look like any move will happen imminently, and it could drag on through the entire window.
