West Ham predicted to earn Champions League place on one condition

West Ham can finish in the top four this season if Manchester United keep Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to Razor Ruddock.

The former Liverpool defender turned pundit revealed on the All To Play For podcast his thoughts on the race for the Champions League and predicts a big season for David Moyes’ side.

The Red Devils are currently six points behind the Hammers, who are in third and are actually just three points behind Chelsea at the top of the table.

So, you can see why Ruddock believes the Irons can finish in the top four; he said: “I can do.

“As long as Ole’s at the wheel. If Ole’s at the wheel up there, then West Ham’s have a great chance.

“Ole’s at the wheel, at the wheel, Ole’s at the wheel. It’s got nothing to do with West Ham, but if he’s at the wheel.”

Brutal assessment of Solskjaer.

This is basically just a massive dig at Solskjaer, who has one of the most talented Manchester United squads in recent years, and they have won just one of their last six league games.

So, you can see why Ruddock believes that the Irons could make it just because of the Red Devils, but that would be discounting Moyes’ side and their qualities.

They are in third place on merit, and it is even more impressive given that the Irons are also competing in the Europa League. So they are performing very well on multiple fronts.

The Champions League is certainly well within reach as things stand, though there is a long way to go before the end of the season.

Ultimately, if West Ham do make it to the Champions League through the league, we don’t believe that it will be because of the Red Devils failing, and it will be because the Irons earn it.
