West Ham owners have no intention of selling the club to PAI Capital

West Ham owners David Gold and David Sullivan have no intention of selling the club to PAI Capital, despite the consortium preparing a new bid, according to Jack Rosser.

The Evening Standard reporter claimed on his Twitter account that the investment firm had their first offer for the Irons knocked back in February, but they are now preparing a second offer [Evening Standard].

However, it appears that Gold and Sullivan have no intention of selling and will happily reject any and all offers from PAI Capital.

What happens next?

In recent weeks PAI Capital have released various statements, including one about the London Stadium, with the group essentially agreeing to buy the ground if they complete their proposed takeover.

Nasib Piriyev from the consortium has also been speaking about the deal, and it appears as if they aren’t going away [the Independent].

However, with Gold and Sullivan still refusing to sell, how does this saga end positively?

Well, you would think the initial bid of £400million is going to have to be significantly increased for the current West Ham owners to even consider negotiating with PAI Capital.

The group claim they have plans that will make the Hammers a consistent top-six Premier League side, so let’s hope Gold and Sullivan finally give in and accept PAI Capital’s new bid.

There could be an interesting few weeks in store for the Hammers if this bid materialises.
