West Ham offer £96k/week deal to Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski
West Ham are reportedly ramping up their pursuit to sign Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski this summer after making initial contact.
According to Italian media outlet Il Mattino, the Hammers have put forward a £5million per year (£96k-a-week) contract for the 28-year-old.
Napoli are believed to be under tremendous pressure with this recent development and they could look to cash in on his services

Excitement building
The Hammers are in desperate need of signing a midfielder or two this summer as they’ve already seen Mark Noble retire and Alex Kral returning to his parent club.
Flynn Downes may have been signed but West Ham clearly need someone who can strengthen the first team and Zielinski is that player.
Tomas Soucek is also facing an uncertain future and there’s a good chance that he leaves the club before the window shuts in a little over a month.
Thus, it makes sense for the Irons to put all their eggs in the Polish midfielder’s basket and do everything they can to sign him.
Napoli have also brought down his asking rate which puts him right into the Hammers’ transfer budget for this summer.
It remains to be seen if they manage to agree personal terms with him as things are progressing quickly and we expect some major developments in the coming days.
