West Ham not interested in Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata
West Ham are not interested in signing Duvan Zapata from Atalanta in the summer transfer window, according to reports from Claret and Hugh.
The Hammers launched a late bid for the striker in the January transfer window, but they failed in their attempt.
Italian media outlet Milan Live have claimed that the Hammers have made the 30-year-old their number one target in the summer, while the player could say goodbye at the end of the season.
Claret and Hugh shared inside information: “Yes, we did make that move but that’s the only truth in the current report. There are no talks going on at all.”

It is an open secret that the Hammers are looking to sign a striker in the summer.
The club failed to land one in the January window, and the decision could come back to haunt them.
The goals have dried up in recent months, with Michail Antonio currently going through a barren spell in front of the goal.
The Hammers failed to replace him or add competition in that department for a long time now. They are still relying heavily on the 31-year-old, although David Moyes doesn’t have any other option at the moment.
But a move for Zapata hardly makes sense. He has scored over 145 goals in his long career, but he is on the wrong side of 30. West Ham need young strikers who can be an asset for the club for years to come as they are looking to build a strong future.
