A doctor has given an update on West Ham star Lucas Paqueta after his latest injury blow.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Dr Rajpal Brar revealed that the Brazilian appears to be close to a first-team return but is likely to miss out on the Newcastle clash (10 March).
He said: “Based on comments by Potter, his ankle injury sounds like this was relatively mild and it will be a game to game basis for his return. As he’s not yet returned to training, as far as the official word from the club, he’s unlikely to feature in the next one.”
Vladimir Coufal could leave West Ham
A West Ham exit for Vladimir Coufal could be closer than ever after a new update on his future emerged.
The veteran has fallen down the pecking order for the Irons with the emergence of Aaron Wan-Bissaka after his move from Manchester United

It states that while “all options are on the table”, an exit is the more likely option for the 32-year-old Irons star.

Premier League rival eyeing Aguerd deal
A report from Fijaches (5 March) claims that Manchester United are interested in a deal for West Ham loanee Nayef Aguerd.
The Moroccan defender is currently enjoying an impressive loan spell with Real Sociedad, who would like to retain the 28-year-old, according to the Spanish outlet.
However, they face competition from Ruben Amorim’s side, with the former Rennes ace expected to “fit perfectly” into his system.
Angel Gomes to West Ham update shared
England midfielder Angel Gomes could join West Ham after a new update on his future at French club Lille emerged.
The 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is set to leave France on a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The renowned journalist revealed that the Premier League is definitely an option for the former Manchester United youth ace and that he “will 100 per cent leave Lille.”
