West Ham news round-up: David Sullivan takes drastic action as Malick Diouf could leave in mass exodus
West Ham are feeling the affects of their dismal 3-0 defeat to Tottenham at the London Stadium over the weekend.
West Ham fans continue to call on Graham Potter to be sacked after they capitulated in the second half, conceding three goals again.
Potter isn’t the only one to come under fire in East London, with David Sullivan’s time as West Ham chairman under threat.
West Ham Zone has rounded up the latest West Ham news off the back of Saturday’s disastrous defeat to Spurs.

Focus switches to clash with in-form Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace are on a high going into the game against West Ham, having avoided defeat so far this season.
The Eagles drew 0-0 last time out against Sunderland and face Millwall in the Carabao Cup before heading to the London Stadium next weekend.
Potter faces an uphill battle to break Oliver Glasner’s side’s stride, with Palace now ten games unbeaten in the Premier League.
The run is a new record for the South London side, who have also managed to concede the fewest number of goals and keep the most clean sheets of any team in the top-flight in that time.
In comparison, the Hammers have lost four of their five games this season, conceding three or more, and have the worst defensive record in the division, with 11 goals conceded.

Richard Keys calls out ‘big error’ in Tottenham game
It could have been worse for West Ham in the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham.
Cristian Romero had his headed goal controversially ruled out in the first half for an alleged foul from Micky van de Ven on Kyle Walker-Peters.
beIN SPORTS presenter Richard Keys called out PGMOL Chief, Howard Webb, for his role in disallowing the goal.
West Ham | Team | Tottenham |
0.6 | Expected goals | 1.22 |
7 | Shots | 14 |
4 | Shots on target | 5 |
310 | Passes | 341 |
He said: “And finally…honest ref watch. Sorry, Howard – it wasn’t a good weekend again, was it? What a ridiculous call by Jarred Gillett to rule that Spurs goal out.
“Error – big error, compounded by the fact he was looking at a nailed-on pen when Fernandes wrestled Van de Ven to the ground, but gave nothing. VAR could only have been asleep again.”
El Hadji Malick Diouf could agree West Ham exit
El Hadji Malick Diouf didn’t waste any time in getting up to speed at the London Stadium.
The Senegal international has been a bright spark in a dismal defence, and has also provided a much-needed attacking outlet.
With relegation from the Premier League a possibility come the end of the season, commentator Darke has suggested Diouf could leave alongside some fellow Hammers stars next summer.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Darke said: “He’s only just got his foot in the door at West Ham, but he’s one of the few players who’s impressed.
“He’s an eye-catching signing, and I’m sure the fans like him.
“They need more good players like him, they certainly wouldn’t want to lose him any time soon.
“He’s only just joined, so I wouldn’t think there’s any fear of losing him just yet, but if they went down, a load of players would be out.
“They aren’t there quite yet, but the odds are growing against them.“

David Sullivan has stopped talking to West Ham media
Sullivan’s failures in East London were demonstrated when floods of fans left the London Stadium in the 64th minute against Spurs.
The Hammers have been spiralling since David Moyes was relieved of his duties in 2024, and much of that is down to the Welsh businessman.
It seems the recent criticism of Sullivan has been too much to bear for the West Ham owner.
Notable achievements under Sullivan:
- UEFA Europa Conference League Winners (2023)
- Promotion to the Premier League (2012)
- Move to the London Stadium (2016)
Ex-WHUEmployee, speaking on his Patreon podcast, shared the drastic measures that he has taken against the media in recent weeks.
He said: “David Sullivan has stopped talking to West Ham news outlets and journalists because they aren’t supporting him in the media.”
