West Ham must sign Adam in January transfer window

West Ham reportedly still retain an interest in signing 19-year-old Sparta Prague forward Adam Hlozek.

According to 90Min’s Toby Cudworth, the fact that the Czech Republic international is a teammate of Alex Kral, Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal could be beneficial in getting the deal over the line.

Having not signed a striker this summer, the Hammers most certainly need one next summer, and Hlozek would be a perfect fit.

Cudworth wrote, “West Ham still very interested in teenage sensation Adam Hlozek, despite not making a move this summer.

“I have no doubt agents Soucek, Coufal and now Kral know their mission for current and future Czech international duties.”

The Hammers have Michail Antonio’s services to call upon and the 31-year-old has started the new season in fine form, registering a goal or an assist in every game and was arguably the player of the month among all Premier League players.

However, he is extremely injury prone which means that there needs to be another player who can replace him or even play alongside him.

Hlozek is someone who could do either and, at 19, he represents someone who could lead the line for the Hammers for years to come.

He’s got world-class potential and could help to take the club to the next level.

Last season, he showcased just how clinical he was in front of goal, scoring 15 times in 23 games in all competitions, while he also provided nine assists.

Given his style of play, it would not take him too long to adapt to life in the Premier League and the club must do everything they can to ensure he’s a Hammer before the January transfer window shuts.
