West Ham must offer bumper salary to sign Piotr Zielinski
West Ham will have to offer a bumper salary to convince Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski to join the club this summer, according to Corriere Della Sport.
The newspaper reported in its print edition on Friday, July 29 (page 13) that the agreement between the clubs is not a problem anymore as Napoli want £33.5 million for their player whereas the Irons are willing to offer £30 million.
However, the report further stated that in order to convince the player to join the London-based outfit, West Ham must offer monster wages compared with his current £3.35 million per year contract.

There is no doubt that West Ham’s biggest question mark in the summer transfer window is their midfield options. As they are set to play in Europe for the second consecutive season and they have already lost two options in Mark Noble and Alex Kral, things are not going well for them in the middle of the park.
Most importantly, there is always speculation about the future of Declan Rice despite him recently stating that he has no intention of leaving the club this summer.

Therefore, it is important that the Irons have a ready-made midfielder who will come into the first team and make an impact instantly and Zielinski can definitely be that one player.
The Poland International was fantastic for Napoli last season, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 35 Serie A appearances. He had a pass completion rate of 85% and averaged 1.4 key passes per game [Whoscored].
Everything must be done to try and get this one over the line.
