West Ham mocked amid struggles as David Moyes thrives at Everton
Richard Keys has stuck the boot in on West Ham over David Moyes’ success at Everton since he left.
Moyes left West Ham a year and a half ago just one summer on from winning the Europa Conference League trophy.
He has since returned to Everton under the new ownership on Merseyside and has the team sitting ninth in the Premier League.
Meanwhile the Irons are onto their third manager since the Scot’s departure in Nuno Espirito Santo and are currently languishing in the relegation zone, giving Keys, ever a backer of his friend Moyes, more opportunities to ridicule David Sullivan and Karren Brady for letting him go.

Keys hypes Dominic Calvert-Lewin as West Ham miss Moyes
Writing in his latest blog post the beIN Sports anchor seamlessly jumped from raving about former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s form at Leeds, to praising Moyes current outfit without the forward, then lording it over West Ham for their plight.
To make matters worse West Ham were linked to signing Calvert-Lewin, who has now scored in his past four games, in the summer, albeit they did land another injury-prone ex-England international in Callum Wilson who has done well in patches.
Keys wrote: “What’s happened to Calvert-Lewin? He’s on fire. I’ve always thought there was a player in him, but he’s kept it hidden really well. Perhaps he’s found a home at Leeds?
“It’s a pity for Everton he couldn’t have found this form in their jersey. They played really well at Chelsea. Their performance missed only one thing – a centre-forward. They’ve got to find one in January. If they do Europe isn’t out of the question.

“How West Ham must be missing the Moyes days – top half finishes and trophies. As we often say – be careful what you wish for.”

Moyes exit was right but West Ham botched it terribly
It divided the fanbase at the time and while continue to do so for however long it takes the Hammers to get themselves together again.
A European trophy with trips to the knock-out rounds in the Europa League either side are a far cry from the mess that this club is currently enduring, with Nuno’s side looking more like a Jarrod Bowen departure away from relegation.
But it’s easy to forget how dreadful West Ham were domestically at times in Moyes’ final season, and they were arguably even worse in the league the campaign before when winning a trophy on the continent.

Few fans would choose what they have now over that but the Scot leaving wasn’t a total shock given his magic seemed to gradually running out.
However, Sullivan’s indecision over Moyes’ offered-then-rescinded new contract, followed by a pair of baffling appointments in Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter, highlights quite how little of a plan the hierarchy appeared to have and how badly they managed moving on from the most successful manager in recent memory.
