West Ham manager Nuno trolled by Millwall-loving Shrek at World Darts Championship

Nuno Espirito Santo’s frailties at West Ham are even being talked about at the darts.

Championship football could easily be on its way to the London Stadium in 2026, and if so, Nuno will shoulder a lot of the blame for that.

Since he took over from Graham Potter, the Hammers have somehow got even worse, with the former Forest boss statistically the worst manager in West Ham’s history.

Their recent form has them as one of the biggest laughing stocks in Premier League football, second to Wolves, with a dig even fired at him via the World Darts Championship.

Millwall fan takes dig at Nuno live on TV

Despite the fact that we are almost halfway through the season, West Ham have won just three games this season, while having suffered 11 defeats.

The majority of those have come under Nuno, who is remarkably lucky to still be in a job at the London Stadium, though for how much longer remains to be seen.

A couple of days have passed since West Ham’s defeat to Fulham, and yet Nuno is still the punchline to jokes across the country, not just in football.

At the World Darts Championship that was broadcast live on Sky Sports, a fan, seemingly of Millwall, was spotted in a Shrek costume holding a sign that reads: “Nuno Espirito Santo. Millwall legend.”

It’s a new low for the Hammers and for Nuno, and that could be a familiar statement again when they play host to Brighton.

Brighton defeat could spell the end for Nuno after latest reports

The Irons have failed to win any of their last seven games, and it seems unlikely they will be able to change that when they face Brighton.

It was reported earlier this week that Nuno could be sacked at West Ham if their form doesn’t improve, and with three crunch fixture apporaching, it really will be make or break.

If Nuno is to keep his job, West Ham simply cannot afford to lose any of their next three Premier League fixtures.

A trip to Wolves precedes the clash with Brighton on Tuesday, with a return to home soil to take on Nottingham Forest, Nuno’s former club, after.

One defeat, and Nuno simply has to be axed.
