West Ham man makes Ange Postecoglou sack prediction at Tottenham

West Ham favourite Frank McAvennie can see Tottenham fans turning on Ange Postecoglou if they lose to Rangers.

Similarly to Julen Lopetegui with the Hammers, the Aussie boss has come under pressure in North London after his side lost 4-3 against Chelsea on Sunday (8 December).

Spurs now travel to Ibrox in the Europa League on Thursday (12 December) in a clash that could see fans turn on the ex-Celtic boss, according to McAvennie.

He told The Sun (11 December): “Spurs have been magnificent in 20-minute spells – then lost the games. The players have let him down. They have been guilty of not concentrating for 90 minutes and leaking goals.

“But Ange will relish going back to Ibrox for a big game – and one he’ll need to win. I can’t see the Tottenham fans having it if they don’t beat Rangers.

“Being a West Ham man myself, I couldn’t care less about Tottenham.”

It hasn’t been the dream start to the season for Postecoglou who has had some real highs and some real lows in just 15 games so far.

The 59-year-old’s side currently find themselves in 11th place and are coming off the back of a disappointing defeat against Chelsea despite being 2-0 up.

This comes at the end of a run of two draws and a defeat after beating Manchester City 4-0 away from home in November.

After a loss against Bournemouth, fans voiced their frustrations against the manager despite a positive spell in charge of the North Londoners so far.

Frustrations have also been voiced on the East side of London with Hammers fans unsure about their Spanish manager, regardless of the win against Wolves on Monday (9 December).

The style of play at the London Stadium hasn’t changed and neither have the results which supporters will only accept for so long.

The Irons and Spurs fans are reaching the end of their patience and soon sack decisions could be made by the respective clubs.
