West Ham make 'notable offer' to Jose Mourinho to replace David Moyes
West Ham have made a “notable offer” to AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho to replace David Moyes as their manager, according to laroma24.
The report claims that a rich and ambitious contract has flattered the UEFA Champions League-winning coach, however, Mourinho doesn’t intend to take it into consideration.
Despite this report claiming that an offer has been made to Mourinho, West Ham seems to be standing by Moyes despite a woeful 4-0 defeat to Brighton.
“England calls. London again, but this time it’s West Ham. A notable offer for José Mourinho from the Premier League club has been delivered,” as quoted by laroma24. (6 March)
“Rich contract and ambitious project. Flattered, the Portuguese coach does not intend to take him into consideration.
“Roma is always in the lead, even if there are no concrete steps towards the meeting he hopes for with Dan Friedkin.

“West Ham has concretely taken its steps. Mourinho would consider level solutions only when he understood that Roma could do without him. He is fine in Rome and would gladly stay.”
No Bueno.
As lovely as the appointment of the “special one” would be, it’s hard to see him leaving the cushy pasta-filled life in Roma for West Ham.
Mourinho does have a deep love for London however, which may hand the Hammers a slight advantage in this one, nevertheless, it’s all just gossip for now.
And anyway it looks like Moyes will be hanging on to the West Ham job until this decade ends, which is a sorry outlook for fans at the London Stadium.
At least Mourinho’s defensive tactics get trophies, points and results, a far cry from whatever Moyes has been putting out in recent times in East London.
AEK Larnaca in the UEFA Europa Conference League followed by Premier League clashes Aston Villa and Southampton are next for Moyes.
Anything other than wins in these games could spell doom for the Scot, although, fans won’t be holding their breath on that one right now.
