West Ham made unsuccessful enquiry about Real Madrid striker Luca Jovic – report
West Ham United approached Real Madrid to enquire about striker Luca Jovic for a move in the summer, according to 90min.
The Hammers have been in the market to sign a striker in the ongoing transfer window in order to bolster their attacking options in the final third.
As per the report, the Hammers were one of the few clubs that enquired about the availability of the Serbia International.
However, the player was not interested in moving to the Premier League and thus opted to join Italian club Fiorentina on a loan deal.

Jovic was arguably one of the most promising strikers in the world in 2019. He was the focal point of every attacking Eintracht Frankfurt move which paved the way for Real to sign him in the following summer.
Usually, this is the kind of move that a striker of his calibre would cherish. However, it has been nothing but a nightmare for Serbia forward.
Jovic has been warming the bench as he watched the likes of Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr. dictate attacks for Los Blancos. In 51 appearances for Real, he has only scored three goals [Footystats].
If West Ham would have secured the signing of Jovic, it would be nothing less than a gamble as looking at his recent performances, there could not have been any guarantee that the London-based club would be getting a player similar or even close to the one who joined Real in 2019.
