West Ham keen to offload misfiring attacker Said Benrahma after inconsistent season
West Ham boss David Moyes is ready to listen to offers for Said Benrahma with the Scot still harbouring hopes of bringing Jesse Lingard back to the London Stadium, as revealed by The Sun.
The 26-year-old has 11 goals and six assists this season, but as reported by journalist Jack Rosser [8 June], the West Ham manager has grown tired of the Algerian’s inconsistency.
Moyes reportedly held talks with the attacker before the Hammers’ final day match against Brighton with Benrahma not selected for the matchday squad due to injury.

It is believed the Irons are keen to recoup the majority of the £30million they paid Brentford for the 26-year-old in 2020.
Furthermore, The Sun also suggested that the sale of Benrahma could help Moyes raise funds to improve his attacking options, with the club still keen on Lingard returning to the club.
Shame
This doesn’t quite seem to make sense.
The Algerian is West Ham’s third most productive player this season with 17 goal involvements for the Hammers, so moving the attacker on does seem a risk for Moyes.
Benrahma is only 26 and could well be coming into the prime of his career.
If Moyes is moving the attacker on to make space for Lingard then he really needs to reconsider his plans.
Lingard has been sitting on the bench the majority of the season, is three years older than Benrahma and is asking for ridiculous wages.

Whereas, despite being slightly inconsistent, Benrahma has amassed a good attacking return this season.
This would be a very questionable decision if Moyes did decide to let the Algerian depart the club.
It would not be a shock to see him go on to be a success elsewhere.
The Algerian will certainly have plenty of suitors, even if the asking price is around the reported £30million mark.
In other West Ham news, the traditions of pre-season at the Hammers could be under threat as London Stadium works could see the annual game postponed.
