West Ham join two Premier League clubs in race for Carvalho – report

West Ham are now locked in a battle to sign Fulham midfielder Fabio Carvalho, according to the Daily Mail.

Several clubs are interested in the 19-year-old including the Premier League’s Leeds United and Liverpool.

The west Londoners will be desperate to keep hold of their starlet who has ten goal involvements in 17 games so far this season.

Although, it is reported that a January move to the Premier League might be too good to turn down for Carvalho after rejecting a new contract in November with the Cottagers.

Power move

It would be a huge statement if the Hammers could coop ‘lively‘ Carvalho. Beating some of the so-called bigger teams to his signature would be a sign of intent not only for this season but the future of the club.

The Portugal born English youth player could add to the Irons much depleted attacking ranks this season but is likely to be one for the future.

Already a sensation, he has a lot more to give and there is no better place to do it than West Ham, the breeding ground of stars.

He is already familiar with life in London and would need very little adjusting time.

With a host of European giants all eyeing a move for the youngster, it could prove very difficult though, especially with him being a free agent in the summer.

Hopefully, he doesn’t fly under West Ham’s raider for the remainder of the window with David Moyes’ number one priority a striker who can make an instant impact.
