West Ham injury news: Major updates on Paqueta and Alvarez emerge
West Ham have received a major injury boost after the latest update on Lucas Paqueta and Edson Alvarez.
Graham Potter is looking for his side to bounce back from 2-1 loss to Chelsea (3 February) in which Jarrod Bowen scored when making his comeback from a broken foot.
The former Brighton manager has had to deal with numerous injury issues since he replaced Julen Lopetegui on 9 January.
However, he may have a wider pool of players to choose from when the Hammers host Brentford on Saturday (15 February).
West Ham trio to feature v Brentford
A report from The Sun newspaper’s print edition (page 45, 13 February) claims that defender Jean-Clair Todibo is closing in on a return from injury.
The outlet states that the Frenchman, who has been out since the 4-1 loss to Manchester City (4 January) has returned to training and could feature on Saturday.
It also claims that Lucas Paqueta and Edson Alvarez are expected to return against the Bees after missing the clash against Chelsea.
Graham Potter gets major injury relief ahead of Brentford clash
The former Chelsea boss will be relieved as numerous stars are set to return from injury for what promises to be a tough clash against a London rival.
Todibo, Alvarez and Paqueta can become key players under Potter after struggling to make an impact under Lopetegui.
Thomas Frank’s side are 11th in the Premier League and Bryan Mbuemo and Yoane Wissa will prove a handful for an Irons defence that has conceded the fifth-most goals in the Premier League this season.

The Hammers have won just one of their five matches in all competitions since Potter took over, the 3-2 victory over Fulham (14 January) and the 49-year-old will be hoping he can put together a winning run if his squad can stay fit.
The East London outfit can start to turn a new leaf with a win over the Bees, who have also won just one of their last five, a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on 26 January.
It promises to be an entertaining contest at the London Stadium with both sides desperate to take all three points.
