West Ham in talks with Mark Noble over executive role
West Ham United club captain Mark Noble is set to retire at the end of the 2021-22 season and he could be in line for a new role at the London Stadium.
According to the Daily Mail, the 34-year-old is already in talks with the club over taking on an executive role with the Irons next season when he has hung up his boots.
Noble has been a bit-part player under David Moyes this season with Declan Rice taking on the captaincy in his absence alongside Tomas Soucek in midfield.

The Daily Mail says that Noble could well work alongside the club’s head of recruitment Rob Newman in his new role should he accept.
He already has a tight relationship with the club’s board too which could come in handy when negotiating a role for him to play at the London Stadium going forward.
Give him whatever he wants
465 club appearances for West Ham since he made his debut in 2004 makes him a definite club legend and worthy of the nickname “Mr West Ham”.
Every Hammer on earth holds a special place in their heart for Noble as do the board having worked with him for so long.

So whatever he wants from the club going forward, he should get because he has paid the club back already with his loyalty and pride in leading the Irons for so long.
The 34-year-old would be a fantastic addition to the club’s hierarchy too as someone who could be a direct link between the owners and the players having been so close to both camps.
It isn’t something many clubs have the privilege of utilising and West Ham need to take advantage of this rare scenario immediately.
How much Noble impacts transfers alongside Newman isn’t for us to decide but he could be a great person to have in the interview room to find out if any potential incomings are right for the club.
In other West Ham news, they could seal a summer transfer for just £22million according to the latest reports.
