West Ham ‘hysteria’ slammed as ExWHUemployee clarifies Sullivan hiring desire

ExWHUEmployee has clarified that David Sullivan likes Steve Cooper but won’t necessarily hire him at West Ham if Julen Lopetegui is sacked.

The ex-Nottingham Forest boss was in the running to take over at the London Stadium after David Moyes but a move never materialised [90min].

Now fans have started to question whether the Welshman could come in if Lopetegui is sacked after losing 3-1 to Leicester City on Tuesday (3 December).

It doesn’t appear that Cooper is in line to take over in East London after ExWHUEmployeee shared an update to X on 5 December.

They said: “I didn’t say he wants him I said he was a fan of him doesn’t mean he will appoint him. It’s the usual hysteria of the fanbase.”

David Sullivan hiring desire shared in Steve Cooper update at West Ham

It has been far from the dream start to life at the London Stadium for the ex-Real Madrid boss which could see him relieved of his duties very soon.

The Spaniard has not yet been sacked despite the defeat against Leicester where his side failed to make their chances count in a frustrating defeat.

The result wasn’t necessarily down to him but that hasn’t stopped supporters from taking aim to share their discontent with Lopetegui.

If Sullivan is to make a change in the dugout, Hammers fans are unlikely to be appeased by Cooper who has only just been sacked by the Foxes.

Although there are not yet any links to hiring the former Forest boss, it appears that the West Ham chairman does admire the 44-year-old.

The negativity surrounding the potential hiring of the ex-Swansea boss is typical of the London Stadium right now and is similar to the discourse surrounding David Moyes before he departed East London.
