West Ham have ‘club record’ bids rejected – report

West Ham have had club-record bids for players turned down in the last 48 hours, according to Claret & Hugh.

The chances of the Hammers making a signing in January is ‘very low’ with clubs not wanting to weaken their squads.

The Irons have targeted a striker and centre back throughout the January window with these positions now unlikely to be strengthened.

No names or positions have been released as of yet but a West Ham insider has revealed the club will continue to push with one player in particular in mind.

How?

It is the same old story every single transfer window for the Irons.

West Ham seem reluctant to do business until it’s too little too late. It is no secret that there is a window in January, but it seems to be at the London Stadium.

They have more than enough time to prepare for this transfer window and a whole month to conduct any necessary business but as per usual it has been left until the last minute.

These things are unbelievably complicated but surely the club could have moved earlier for their targets to avoid this frantic state the club and now the fans find themselves in as they pray for signings.

Despite them being turned down, it is great news the Irons have had ‘record’ bids rejected in a way.

It shows the clubs intent to bring players in but could the offers be so high because they are panicking with less than a week of the window left?

Either way, we have the money there and are clearly willing to spend it so hopefully, Moyes can make a couple of additions before the window closes.
