West Ham target Patson Daka set for summer move
West Ham striker target Patson Daka has reportedly revealed that will be on the move from Red Bull Salzburg this summer.
Zambian journalist Hugo Zoff, who’s the chief editor of Africa Insider, reports that Daka, along with Fashion Sakala and Enoch Mwepu paid a surprise visit to Football House (FAZ Headquarters) on Wednesday morning.
Sakala revealed that he was off the Rangers, but Mwepu and Daka did not give any indications as to where they’re headed.
Zoff added that Daka is likely to sign for West Ham while he adds “LFC” (Liverpool?) and Sevilla are also possibilities.
Get this one done
Daka has all the tools to go on to be a success at the London Stadium. He’s pacey, mobile, and most importantly, knows how to find the back of the net.
In 42 appearances in all competitions this past season, the Zambian talisman has scored a staggering 34 goals.
RB Salzburg have been known to have an eye on attacking talent and Daka is just one of the recent ones that will give the club a huge profit once they decide to cash in on him.
He’s been at the club since 2017 when they signed him for £225,000. [TransferMarkt]
Per Austrian outlet Salzburger Nachrichten, Daka will be available for £17m – a relative pittance in comparison to what our other attacking transfer targets are costing.
Zambia head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic told the BBC that Daka “could be compared to Sadio Mane or Samuel Eto’o, with the level of skill and speed that he has.”
From what we’ve been reading and hearing, Daka seems to be a phenomenal prospect and we should do everything we can to sign him this summer.
