West Ham flop Mesaque Dju on trial at QPR

West Ham United striker Mesaque Dju could be set to leave the club imminently as he conducts a trial with Queens Park Rangers, according to West London Sport.

The 23-year-old signed for the Hammers on a free transfer in 2019 from Benfica where he only made eight B team appearances in three years.

He’s done even less with the Irons though having never played a minute for the senior team and the Portuguese youth international is looking elsewhere for games.

He recently played for QPR’s B team where he scored a hat-trick but he couldn’t replicate those heroics for the Under-23s who lost 3-0 against Charlton [West London Sport].

Get him gone

Even in West Ham’s current predicament in having only one senior striker, we do not need a 23-year-old who has never played a first-team game hanging around the place.

If Dju was ever going to be a good enough player for the Irons, he would have featured by now even if it was only a Carabao Cup start against some League Two minnows.

West Ham

It wouldn’t even be a surprise if David Moyes wasn’t aware he was even at the club given how little he has impacted West Ham since he arrived.

So if QPR want to take him off our hands then be our guest, we won’t be losing any sleep if he goes.

He won’t be on massive wages but what he is earning could then be spread around some of the better young talents at the club to inspire them to greater things in claret and blue.
