West Ham: ‘Fearless’ Jarrod Bowen wows Channel 4 pundit live on air in England v Brazil
West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen was described as “fearless” by Rob Green live on Channel 4 after what he did in England versus Brazil at Wembley on Saturday (23 March).
The Hammers forward, 27, was introduced as a substitute as the Three Lions went down 1-0 to Endrick’s second-half strike.
Bowen caught the eye in one particularly nice piece of play where he turned away from Joao Gomes before knocking it past Wendell out on the right flank.
Former Hammers keeper Green, speaking on co-commentary for Channel 4, said: “Brilliant from Jarrod Bowen, you see it so often in a West Ham shirt.
“That ability to drive forward in transition, get his team up the pitch and just fearless nature of how he plays.
“It’s a big night for him as well, big few moments, he’s been around the scene for a while but it’s just his sixth cap.”
West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen gets chance to shine in England v Brazil
The evening did not finish up how Bowen would have wanted as Gareth Southgate’s men were beaten by Brazil, albeit there were a lot of first-team regulars missing for the Three Lions.
However, he will have been thrilled to get his opportunity and even more thrilled with a moment of magic out on the right touchline that had all the hallmarks of textbook Brazilian flair.

Of course, to West Ham supporters this is nothing new. Bowen has been excellent at the London Stadium for a long time now, particularly this season where he has had to play the unfamiliar role of striker for much of the campaign.
He will want to keep impressing for West Ham as the season nears a conclusion to make sure he is on the plane to Germany for Euro 2024. A few more moments like this one and surely he will make the squad. He deserves to go that’s for sure.
