West Ham fans set for clarity as meeting in place with boardroom figure

West Ham unrest has taken place for a long time now, with fans furious at the board.

David Sullivan has been criticised throughout his tenure as chairman, with struggles on the pitch not matching West Ham’s potential.

West Ham’s move to the London Stadium has caused many issues for fans, who would move back to Upton Park in a heartbeat.

Graham Potter’s tough start at West Ham has not helped matters, as the Hammers sit 16th in the Premier League.

West Ham supporters group set to meet with board director

The West Ham Fan Advisory Board recently wrote to the board of directors to issue a vote of no confidence in the management of the club.

As a result, an unnamed board official has offered to meet with the fans to discuss the letter on 11 September.

The statement by the Independent Supporters Committee said: “The club, through the nominated board level official, has offered a meeting to discuss our letter.

“We are due to meet with that board director on Thursday 11th September and we will air our views in a frank and professional manner.”

The letter was based off the opinions of over 25,000 fans who are continuously dissatisfied by the lack of ambition at the club.

It’s clear to note that neither David Sullivan or Karren Brady will be the official to meet with the supporters group.

This will come as great news for fans are who are desperate for change on and off the pitch.

West Ham won the conference league in 2023, but poor Premier League seasons in the last few years has brought up underlying unrest that has been present for years.

Graham Potter needs to improve if he wants to ease fan unrest

Potter has won one Premier League game from three this season, with the heavy defeats to Sunderland and Chelsea heaping further pressure on the 50-year-old.

West Ham have a crucial tie at home to Spurs coming up, and a statement win could be huge for the short-term future of the club.

The win against Nottingham Forest before the international break has shown what the squad is capable of, yet it is Potter’s job to get a more consistent tune out of them.
