West Ham fans pile pressure on David Sullivan with demonstration planned vs Newcastle
West Ham fans will continue to express their frustrations with the way the club is being run through a protest during the game against Newcastle.
West Ham fans staged a protest against David Sullivan and co, lining the streets before the Hammers’ 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
Chants of ‘sack the board’ and ‘stand up if you hate the board’ were heard during the protest, which around 3000 people attended.
The defeat to Crystal Palace has left West Ham fans calling for Graham Potter to be sacked, with the hierarchy expected to make big changes in the coming weeks.

West Ham fans plan lock-in protest vs Newcastle
Sullivan isn’t the only senior figure at the London Stadium to come under fire in recent weeks.
Pressure has been placed on Karren Brady to step down at West Ham, after her comments about Potter being a winner have proved false.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been lined up to replace Potter, but the Hammers don’t look set to dismiss the 50-year-old until the October international break.
Supporters have been growing impatient, as shown by their new set of demonstrations that have been lined up.
- Sullivan acquired a 50% share in West Ham in 2010
- In the last 18 months, he has made multiple failures, including sacking David Moyes
- Supporters have been frustrated by the lack of investment in the summer transfer window
According to the Standard on 24 September, fans are set to stage a lock-in at full-time of November’s game against Newcastle as protests against the club’s ownership ramp up.
West Ham hosts Newcastle on 2 November after four big games against Everton, Arsenal, Brentford, and Leeds.
Supporters are also hoping to arrange another demonstration for the home game against the Bees, with talks of a possible boycott.

Can David Sullivan get West Ham fans back on side?
In 2017, when the Hammers were on the edge of the relegation zone, they sacked Slaven Bilic and appointed David Moyes.
At the time, the decision was met with frustration from fans, which soon turned into gratitude when the Scotsman kept them up and later won the Europa Conference League.
That time, Sullivan managed to get fans back on side, but the current situation will be a lot harder.
The first decision the Welsh businessman needs to make is to sack Potter and replace him with a manager who has plenty of Premier League experience.
That’s where Nuno comes into play, but even he has had controversy with Nottingham Forest owner
Evangelos Marinakis in the past, and there’s no guarantee that the Hammers won’t end up back at square one.
