West Ham eye move for England international Jordan Pickford

West Ham are closely monitoring Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to reports by Claret & Hugh.

The news comes as Fulham set their sights on Alphonse Areola, who David Moyes does have the opportunity to sign the Frenchman in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be in the race for the Everton goalkeeper as a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris.

West Ham

Not convinced

Maybe it is the team he is playing in but there is something that doesn’t sit quite right with Pickford potentially being a West Ham player.

Make no mistake, he has been excellent for England in the last couple of major tournaments, establishing himself as a Three Lions legend, but his form over the course of the season is slightly worrying.

He has made a catalogue of errors this season for Everton and always looks as if the next one is around the corner but again, that could be because of the shambles of a team he is playing in.

West Ham

It must be very hard for a goalkeeper to play at his best when the team in front of him continuously lets him down it seems.

That could certainly be the case with his form impeccable for England – a much better team. You would hope he could replicate his international form in a much better Hammers side.
