West Ham duo named in talkSPORT pundit Darren Bent best London XI
Darren Bent has named two West Ham players in his best London XI to play against the best XI from the North West chosen by Andy Goldstein.
The talkSPORT duo had four clubs of their choice to pick from and could select a minimum of two and a maximum of three players per club.
Aaron Cresswell and Declan Rice were the Hammers duo worthy enough to fly the claret & blue flag for London according to Bent.
Bigger fish
There are no arguments at all for the involvement of Rice and Cresswell. The left-back came as somewhat of a surprise because he isnβt as highly regarded by the media as he is by the Irons fans, but he certainly deserves a place in the team.
The major shock was Jarrod Bowen not being involved. He has performed better than any player in the league this season β except for Mo Salah β and leaving him out is simply criminal from Bent.
In all honestly, a few more West Ham players could have seen themselves in the team with the former Aston Villaβs selection questionable, to say the least.

Not that any of this matter to the players anyway. They will be enjoying their breaks or a couple of weeksβ worth of distraction with their international teams ahead of a hugely important end to the season.
Then it will be back to business as David Moyes and the players look to finish the season as strong as they started it and hopefully lift the Europa League trophy by the end of it.
