West Ham defender Kurt Zouma expected back in February
West Ham defender Kurt Zouma should return to action at the start of February, claims ExWHUemployee.
Initially, when the Frenchman suffered an injury, there were fears that he would be ruled out for the rest of the season.
However, he appears to be doing better than expected and could be back in a few weeks.
Ex said, “Kurt Zouma is doing better than first anticipated. He should be back by the start of February”
Relief
Zouma has been a phenomenal signing for the Hammers and has slotted in perfectly at the club.
After a lot of deliberation in the summer, David Moyes decided that the Frenchman was the player he wanted and he got him from rivals Chelsea.
Since his arrival, the defence appears to have solidified and the initial cracks that were there have disappeared.
He had also formed a good understanding with Angelo Ogbonna, before both sustained long-term injuries.
Since then, neither Issa Diop nor Craig Dawson have quite been up to the mark and reinforcements are needed in January.
Even though Zouma is going to be fit soon, the club do need a partner who is an upgrade on the aforementioned duo.
Nat Phillips, Duje Caleta-Car, Nathan Ake are among the few who have been linked with a switch to the London Stadium.
We understand that Moyes wants to sign a left-footed defender in January so Ake could be the ideal fit for him.
