Angelo Ogbonna may still be feeling stiffness in his back after being ruled out for a couple of weeks and may not be start West Ham v Manchester City.
That’s according to Dr Rajpal Brar who claims that his injury can lead to severe pain and tightness in the muscles.
Even though he’s been on the bench of late and came off it in the 4-3 defeat against Crystal Palace, he may not be risked if there are others fit and ready.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “It sounds like his absence has been due to the fall he took on his back. These can be quite painful and lead to pain and tightness in the muscles.
“Considering the low back and hip are central to the movement, stiffness there can be quite detrimental so he may not [start v Manchester City].“

At 34, Ogbonna has played a fairly decent amount of games as he’s featured on 12 occasions in the Premier League this term.
His contract runs out this summer and there do need some to be any indicators as to whether or not he’ll stay put at the club.
However, the possibility of a new short-term deal for the Italian remains on the cards but David Moyes is yet to speak about it.
