West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell back running on grass after injury

West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell is said to be back running on the grass after his latest injury.

The 32-year-old has been missing and worrying reports recently suggested that he could be out for three months.

Claret and Hugh have shared the latest with the major boost included ahead of the busier than expected January period.

A source told Claret and Hugh the latest as the veteran defender gets closer to his return at the London Stadium.

“Obviously the medical staff are being very careful,” they said.

“But the good news is that he is now running on grass which is a positive sign he could soon be back.”

Brilliant.

Although this doesn’t mean his return is imminent, this is a major boost for the entire defence at the London Stadium.

Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna are also out, meaning three of our usual four at the back are out of action for now.

Ben Johnson doesn’t appear to be fit enough to play every game at this moment and Arthur Masuaku simply isn’t good enough.

It will still be a number of weeks before he gets back to full fitness, and Cresswell will be hoping to return before the end of January.

Although not straight away, it’s better than the three months some have already predicted in recent weeks surrounding the club.
