West Ham could move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele

West Ham could still move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele in the summer, according to journalist Dean Jones.

Signing a striker is a priority for the Hammers this summer, they have been linked with a host of players already including Ollie Watkins, Ben Brereton-Diaz, Eddie Nketiah and Armando Broja.

However, Dembele is also one of their targets, and the club could move for the former Celtic striker, as reported by Jones for GiveMeSport.

Dembele would be a smart signing for the club.

The Hammers failed to sign a striker for the past three transfer windows, and it would be a catastrophe if they fail to land one this time.

Michail Antonio has done a brilliant job last season but he needs support as well.

The club genuinely lacks depth in that area, and David Moyes should look to bring in a quality forward who can guarantee goals.

Dembele has goals written all over him. He scored 51 goals in 94 games for Celtic, where he enjoyed a trophy laden career.

He was one of the brightest young talents at Fulham where he scored 19 goals in 64 games.

His record for Lyon isn’t bad either. He managed 67 goals for them, with 21 goals have come in just 25 starts this season. In total, he has scored 137 club goals in his career.

Dembele has got previous experience of playing in the Premier League, and he could be tempted to join.

He is a fabulous finisher, and that is what the Hammers need at the moment.
