West Ham have found themselves in an uptick of form in recent weeks, but they are not the only Premier League side to do so.

In the last five matches in all competitions, the Hammers have won four, with their only loss coming late against Chelsea after letting a 2-0 lead slip.

Most recently, a crucial 2-0 win against Burnley for West Ham kept them in touching distance of relegation rivals Nottingham Forest.

Nuno Espirito Santo will now be looking to continue on with this form as they prepare for their next fixture.

It will be a homecoming for Michael Carrick, as he returns to face his academy club, and West Ham could now do something quite funny.

West Ham can end Manchester United’s four-game win streak

While West Ham’s form is positive, Manchester United are in even better spirits.

The Old Trafford side have won their last four fixtures, including tricky ties against both Manchester City and Arsenal. Additionally, they also defeated a struggling Tottenham Hotspur in that run.

Former Hammers man Carrick has done a remarkable job as the Red Devil’s head coach, with him yet to lose in the dugout.

Man United look a different side under him, and one United fan will be keeping extra close attention on Tuesday’s game.

Many football fans will be tuning in to watch that game to see if Illet’s journey will finally come to an end.

West Ham have recent advantage over Manchester United

While both sides are in form, West Ham have the recent head-to-head advantage over Carrick’s side.

This is because West Ham have won each of their last three home league games against Manchester United.

Additionally, including all games, the Hammers have lost just once to the 20-time Premier League winners.

While the idea of ending United’s streak has its quirks, the Hammers do need to win this game for their own good as well.

Relegation is a possibility, and picking up points against sides at the opposite end of the table will go a long way in helping them survive.

Nuno has been boosted by Summerville’s sensational displays, and hopes are that the Dutchman can continue to impress.
