West Ham, Arsenal in hunt to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney
West Ham are reportedly set to battle it out with Arsenal and a host of Premier League clubs to sign Ivan Toney this summer.
According to 90Min, the English striker is happy at Brentford, having starred in their first season in the top flight, with six goals and two assists in their last six games.
While the Bees do not want to sell him, in case they change their minds, a fee in excess of £50million will be needed to prise him away from the Brentford Community Stadium.

Arsenal also want a striker in the summer with Alexandre Lacazette set to leave and Eddie Nketiah undecided.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also left for Barcelona so they are a bit tight in that department.
Tad expensive
It goes without saying that a striker should be West Ham’s priority this summer.
The Hammers have been eyeing a number nine ever since Sebastien Haller left in January 2021.
However, two windows have passed since then and the club appear no closer to signing a new forward.
They have been linked and come close on several occasions but their pursuits have ended in failure.

Toney fits the bill perfectly for David Moyes.
He’s tall, strong, can hold the ball up and bring others into the game, along with winning headers in both boxes and scoring goals.
The Scotsman does not want his strikers to drop deep and play like number 10s, but instead be within the 18 yards of the penalty area and wreck havoc.
Whether or not the Hammers can afford to sign him remains to be seen.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have scouted a £20m-rated ‘Dangerous’ British striker and are keen to seal a permanent move ahead of this summer transfer window.
