Wages update emerges as West Ham United offered Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi
West Ham have been offered Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi even though they remain close to signing Manchester City youngster Carlos Borges.
That’s according to reliable London Stadium sources close to Six Foot Two who claim [27 July] that he will be demanding high wages to join.
He’s also viewed as similar to Borges, 19, so a move for the Blues 22-year-old does not appear to be on the cards, as things stand.

Good news
A few years ago, Hudson-Odoi appeared to be the next big thing in English football and everyone seemed to be talking about him.
There were links to clubs like Bayern Munich but the Blues saw him as one of their best prospects and did not want to lose him.
Even their Twitter handle could not help but wax lyrical of the winger and labelled him “Magnificent” in 2021.
However, fast forward a few years and they’re now keen on getting rid of him and are offering him to the Hammers, knowing they want to sign a left winger.
It seems David Moyes and the West Ham hierarchy have narrowed in on signing Borges so bringing in another player in that role makes little sense.
Although Hudson-Odoi has more senior experience under his belt, his career trajectory has not been overly impressive whereas Borges does seem to be onto big things in the future.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
