Vladimir Coufal shares Twitter message before new West Ham deal udate

Vladimir Coufal has reportedly signed an extension at West Ham that will keep him at the club until 2024 with an option of another year.

The Athletic reported on Saturday morning that the right-back had finally put pen to paper to a new deal at the London Stadium.

Shortly before the news broke, the official West Ham Twitter handle shared a post about Coufal, without confirming the deal and the Czech international then replied to it.

Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, “One year ago my dream came true. What an outstanding year like a club we had. Once a Hammer is always a Hammer.”

Fantastic signing

Coufal arrived at the London Stadium last year with very little fanfare as there weren’t many who knew a great deal about him.

It took him a while to come up to speed with life in the Premier League, but once he did, he’s been unplayable.

David Moyes has found a trusted lieutenant in Coufal and he will be delighted to finally see him extend.

There appeared to be delays in terms of the wages but everything seems to have been agreed by now which will come as welcome news for the fans.

Hopefully, he is fit enough for the game on Sunday against Brentford as his trickery and pace down the right flank will be necessary for the Hammers to break down the Bees back three/five.

We’re expecting the club to make an official announcement within the coming days and it could even be done before kick-off tomorrow.
