Vladimir Coufal discusses West Ham players and Kretinsky

Vladimir Coufal has revealed that he met new West Ham investor Daniel Kretinsky in the summer.

However, the right-back doesn’t know the 46-year-old personally but revealed that he was teased and asked about his wealth when the rumours emerged.

Coufal did big Kretinsky up, and now that the deal is finished, we can imagine that the atmosphere on the training ground is even better than it was before.

Speaking to eFotbal, Coufal said: “He is a man who has money and seems to want to buy a stake in the club where I play. I don’t see any problem with that.

“We saw each other in the restaurant in the summer, but we just said hello; there was nothing going on yet. I don’t know Mr Křetínský personally.

“The very next day after the information came out in Sky Sports, I heard some jokes, custodians and physiotherapists kneeling in front of me and begging me to intercede with him, asking who he was, how rich he was, and I said that he really liked football and that his eventual entry would to the club did not have to be bad at all.”

Nice words from Coufal.

It is clear that though Coufal doesn’t know him that well, he does believe that Kretinsky is passionate and likes football.

So, it doesn’t seem as if he is investing in the club for the wrong reasons, which is always good to hear.

He is a man who seems to love football and wants to take the Irons onto the next level.

Though the 29-year-old doesn’t seem to know him that much, he provides a little bit of insight into Kretinsky, which is great to read.

We are sure that the Czech’s true intentions will come out soon enough, but if we are basing them off what Coufal says, then the future looks very good for the Irons with Kretinsky pumping time and money into the club simply because he loves football.

That is the best thing about all of this, he is a man who has invested in a club that is getting better and better by the week, and he wants to make them even better.

In other West Ham news, a report has shared how much Kretinsky has invested into the club already.
