Vladimir Coufal could be finished at West Ham United as Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer news emerges
West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal may well be finished at the London Stadium with a number of potential replacements already eyed ahead of the January transfer window.
Online news outlet FootballTransfers reported on 16 November that the Hammers are interested in signing Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Wolves’ Nelson Semedo in January amid uncertainty over Coufal’s future.
It is believed that West Ham are keen on a right-back addition in January with Coufal’s current contract at the club due to expire in the summer.

Wan-Bissaka has been targeted as an ideal signing for David Moyes despite interest from his former club Crystal Palace, while Portugal international Semedo is viewed as a potential alternative at the club too.
The way Coufal has conducted himself since being out of the West Ham side for a large period of last season has been excellent and he deserves great credit.
After working his way back into the starting lineup towards the end of last year, he has nailed down the spot at right-back and there are certainly no questions being asked about his selection anymore.
His performances so far this season have been hit-and-miss at times which certainly begs the question of whether he is West Ham’s long-term solution at right back.

At the ripe old age of 31, it certainly is time for West Ham United to start having an eye towards the future as the Czech international may not be at the required level for much longer.
Ben Johnson’s future at the London Stadium remains in doubt while Thilo Kehrer cannot get a look-in in Moyes’ side leaving Coufal as the only quality option at right-back.
But it begs the question, had West Ham possessed a younger and fresher option available, would Coufal be starting games right now?

Nonetheless, this latest transfer news certainly suggests that Coufal’s days in East London are drawing ever closer to its finish, especially with his contract situation not any closer to getting sorted.
In other West Ham news, the club’s stance on another potential signing has emerged with the deal still yet to be complete.
