Vladimir Coufal breaks West Ham United record after Premier League form this season
Vladimir Coufal has become the first West Ham player to record an assist in four straight Premier League games, according to The Athletic.
The news outlet reported on Thursday (19 October) that the “creative force” set up one of his teammates to score in each of the matches against Manchester City, Liverpool, Sheffield United and Newcastle United.
It added that only 10 players in the top flight have assisted a goal in five straight appearances, with the 31-year-old Czech defender hoping to join that group when he lines up against Aston Villa on Sunday (22 October).

Deserves credit
The way Coufal has conducted himself since being out of the West Ham side for a large period of last season has been excellent and he deserves great credit.
After working his way back into the starting lineup towards the end of last year, he has nailed down the spot at right-back and there are certainly no questions being asked about his selection anymore.
David Moyes will have wanted the Czech to add more to his game going forward and he has shown that over the past few weeks, with his pinpoint deliveries setting up four goals in four straight games.

With other creative players like James Ward-Prowse and Jarrod Bowen in the side, the Hammers boss will be delighted to see Coufal also stepping up and delivering for his side in that aspect.
He will be hoping to register another assist in the game against Villa on Sunday to put himself amongst an elite group of players that have played in the Premier League.
In other West Ham news, a club’s January stance on a player the Hammers wanted to sign has emerged.
