Vinicius Jr sends message to West Ham United ace Lucas Paqueta after Conference League win v Fiorentina

Real Madrid ace Vinicius Jr and AC Milan star Rafael Leao have sent messages to West Ham ace Lucas Paqueta after he lifted the Europa Conference League trophy.

The Hammers secured the major European success by defeating Italian side Fiorentina 2-1 on Wednesday (7 June).

Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net in Prague, with Paqueta playing the entire 90 minutes in the impressive victory.

AC Milan star Leao replied to the post with the word “worthy,” with Real Madrid ace Vinicius Jr posting five heart eyes emojis.

Paqueta certainly took his time to get going in claret and blue following his switch from Lyon last summer, with the Brazilian struggling to get to grips with English football in the first few months of the season.

But his stunning displays in more recent times were worth the wait, with the 25-year-old shining in both an attacking and defensive manner for the Hammers, both in the Premier League and in Europe.

West Ham simply wouldn’t have lifted the trophy without the performances of their midfield maestro, who was handed the freedom to roam in the final third as Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek held the fort behind him in midfield.

His star quality has shone through in terms of many well-taken goals and superb assists, with the Brazilian expertly playing a delicate through ball for Bowen in the 90th minute of the match in Prague, with his Hammers teammate making no mistake as he slotted the ball home.
