View: West Ham must look to sign Isaiah Jones in summer

Irrespective of where West Ham finish at the end of the season, David Moyes must look to sign Isaiah Jones from Middlesbrough in the summer.

According to a recent report from 90 Min, Tottenham are eyeing a move for the 22-year-old, but the likes of Manchester United, West Ham and Crystal Palace are all watching him closely.

Brighton and Brentford are also interested, while a host of foreign clubs are keen to take him. It only goes to show scouts all over Europe have been really impressed with the rising talent.

The report says that if Boro secure promotion to the Premier League, Jones would stay at Riverside. However, the situation can easily change with so many clubs vying for his signature.

Jones produced an outstanding performance against Tottenham (4 tackles, 97 touches, 66 passes) in the FA Cup [WhoScored] on Tuesday night, and he should be a top priority for the Hammers.

The youngster has been in sensational form for Boro this season, and his form is one of the major reasons why Boro are dreaming of promotion this season.

He is a natural right winger but has played mostly as a right-wing back for Boro. He is equally comfortable with both roles that show his maturity in grappling tactics.

He has played 18 times in defence out of 31 appearances, where he has managed one goal and eight assists.

Jones has managed 1.9 tackles on average and going forward has produced 1.3 key passes per game, as per WhoScored.

He is available at a decent price, with Hartlepool Mail claiming it would take around £15 million to secure his signature.

The talent is there, and Moyes must not miss out on him.
