Unnamed Premier League clubs in hot pursuit of Vladimir Coufal amid West Ham United contract news
Up to three unnamed Premier League clubs are interested in signing West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal this summer, according to the Mirror.
Earlier this year, it was claimed by Sky Sports on 1 January that the Czech Republic international was growing frustrated at West Ham and was labelled as “one to watch” on a potential exit.
Coufal is out of contract at the East Londoners in June and there have been no talks or developments of any potential new contract proposals on the table with the full-back remaining focused on the Hammers’ exploits both domestically and in Europe.

And according to the Mirror [28 April, page 67], three unnamed Premier League clubs are on alert to his services.
Uncertain
Coufal has endured a disappointing campaign, suffering a considerable drop off in performance levels over the last 18 months, after excelling since his move in 2020.
However, it was reported that he knocked back interest from German club Bayer Leverkusen this summer highlighting his loyalty to the West Ham United cause.

Moving forward, the 31-year-old is certainly a player the board would probably like to keep at the club. On the whole, he’s dependable and a consistent performer.
It will be interesting to see how the summer unfolds at the London Stadium with Moyes’ future very much up in the air and that could have an impact on some of the transfer preparations.
There could be a mass exodus at the club in June with Coufal amongst that long list of names who could depart but given his importance to the team, it remains uncertain whether he will stick or twist.
At 31-years-old, the club should be scouting potential long-term solutions and could already have option right under their nose to replace him out there with Ben Johnson still on the books.
Whatever happens, West Ham United should be preparing for a potential departure by lining up long-term replacements.
