‘Unbelievable’ – Manager comments on concerns over West Ham move for ‘outstanding’ player

The question on most West Ham United fans lips right now is, will Darren Randolph eventually seal his return to the London Stadium?

David Moyes has had a £4million offer accepted for the Republic of Ireland international, but the deal still hasn’t been completed after almost a week.

There are concerns over his fitness at this moment, with his last appearance in the Championship coming back at the end of November.

Boro manager Jonathan Woodgate has commented on the future of Randolph, claiming the past week has been unbelievable.

“Randolph is the longest medical in history. It is unbelievable,” he said, via the Mirror.

“Let’s see what happens over the next 48 hours. He is a professional and is an outstanding keeper for us. He will be fine.

“Is he going there to be No2? He is a No1. He is a top keeper. He hasn’t gone yet so let’s see.”

It has been reported by Football Insider that David Moyes and the Hammers are set to make a decision on Randolph on Monday after a second medical.

Personal terms and the £4million fee has been settled, with his injury the only obstacle yet to get around for the Irons.

Woodgate’s recent comments suggest he has all but said goodbye to Randolph, so as long as things run smoothly on the medical front, West Ham fans should expect their first signing through the door this month.
