Trevor Sinclair wants West Ham to sign Tammy Abraham but claims he be too expensive

Trevor Sinclair is a massive fan of Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham and he wants West Ham to sign the striker this summer.

Alan Brazil asked the former Iron what he thought of Abraham and Sinclair waxed lyrical about the 23-year-old in his response.

He believes Abraham is a complete striker and could be available after being frozen out by Thomas Tuchel, but did raise concerns about his possible price tag.

On talkSPORT Breakfast Brazil asked if Abraham could be West Ham’s perfect number nine and Sinclair said, “I think so, just depends on price, homegrown players cost a lot of money.

“Tammy I think he’s still topscorer at Chelsea, he’s been frozen out by Thomas Tuchel for whatever reason. You hear things, it’s speculation that he’s not training hard enough, that he’s not putting himself apart in training

“He’s got everything, he’s good in the air, he’s good with the ball at his feet, he’s got great skill and technique, he scores goals for fun.

“Tammy’s done it, he’s done it at Villa, he’s done it at Chelsea, he’s still very young aswell and he’s got everything…he’s quick.

“But he’s going to cost a lot of money and [it’s going to be a question of] whether the owners at West Ham can find that money.”

Sign him up

There is plenty to like about Abraham and we believe he would be an excellent addition if he joins in the summer.

We are in desperate need of a striker and there are few players who would be able to lead the line as well as the £50,000 a week star [Daily Mail].

Abraham’s height makes him a great focal point and would allow us to play direct, which suits our counter-attacking style.

He seems to be a confidence player but has shown over the last two years that he is a capable Premier League finisher, and would get service from Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals.

Abraham’s transfer fee could be an issue but if he hits the ground running in East London his value will skyrocket, and our rivals will regret not making a move.

David Moyes has taken players who have experienced a dip in their careers and turned them around – the form of Craig Dawson and Jesse Lingard is evidence for that.

He could do the same with Abraham, so we support a move for the Chelsea star this summer.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to sign an ‘unbelievable’ speed demon who is available for transfer.
