Tottenham now set to hijack West Ham move for Igor Gomes
West Ham United have seen another one of their transfer targets hijacked this week, as Spurs have made their move for Igor Gomes.
Homme du Match initially linked the Irons with the Sao Paulo playmaker, but have now shared that our fierce rivals are the highest bidders.
It is suggested that the bid only stands at £8.5million, with nothing accepted as things stand at this moment in time.

West Ham were first linked at the start of August in the player dubbed as the “next Kaka” due to physical similarities.
Real Madrid were also credited with an interest last year, and it was stated that £12.8million would get the deal done.
As things stand then, it appears as though Spurs are no closer than the Irons to confirming this deal, no matter if they make an official move or not.
ExWHUemployee has also reported that the work permit application would likely be a big issue in the Premier League, something that would affect Spurs too.

Really?
So, only 24 hours after Sky Sports reported that Spurs were now in talks with Nikola Milenkovic, it has happened again.
Of course, the initial reports were only links with Gomes, and we were much further down the line with the defender.
Either way, it proves we are tracking the right style of players, but may not have the financial power to bring any of them in.
What makes that even more disappointing is that these fees aren’t even that major in the current market, and it leaves us worried.
There comes a time where you have to bite the bullet and just seal a deal, and it looks as though GSB aren’t prepared to do that.
