Torino expected to make serious effort to sign West Ham United midfielder Nikola Vlasic
Serie A club Torino are not giving up on their hopes to sign West Ham midfielder Nikola Vlasic, according to a report from Virgilio Sport.
The Italian website, with over 60k Facebook followers, have reported on 5 August that Torino are seriously considering signing the Croatian midfielder who is not in David Moyes’ plans at the moment.
They want to sign him on loan, but it won’t be easy to secure the deal for him. The likes of AC Milan and Valencia are also interested in signing the player.
It appears that Torino will make a concrete approach in the “next few hours”, and the club they have a chance here.
The Hammers are looking to bolster their midfield this summer, and if they manages to get one or two players, Vlasic could be offloaded.
The Hammers spent a big fortune to sign the Croatian, but has Moyes seen enough of him to make the decision to sell him?
He really struggled last season to make an impact in the Premier League, and his potential exit from the club hasn’t been ruled out either.
Torino have shown great desire to sign him, but at the moment the Hammers shouldn’t even think of letting him go unless they sign adequate replacements.
West Ham won’t mind keeping Vlasic at the club. He can still compete for his place, which is not a bad thing. There are a lot of games to play, and Vlasic will have opportunities to impress his manager.
Having said that, anything can happen in the transfer window, and Vlasic could be heading for the exit at some point before the window closes.
