Tony Cottee sends strong message on Twitter ahead of West Ham United v Leicester

West Ham will take on Leicester City at the London Stadium on Saturday (12 November) in the Premier League, and Tony Cottee suggests that it is a must-win game for the Hammers.

With only one win in five games in the Premier League, the pressure is mounting on David Moyes, and Cottee feels that it’s a “massive” game ahead of the World Cup.

The Hammers are 15th in the league table at the moment, and they need to come up with a strong performance and result to lift the mood around the club.

Cottee wrote on Twitter: “Massive game today! Need to win otherwise it’s going to be a long six-week wait for our next game. COYI.”

Massive

Only a month ago, Leicester City were sinking without a trace and speculations were rife about whether Brendan Rodgers would still be at the club.

However, they have completely turned it out in recent games, and that’s why the Hammers need to be on top of their game to beat the Foxes.

The Hammers have heavily relied on their home form, but they were signs of frustrations recently, as they lost 2-1 against Crystal Palace at the London Stadium in their previous game.

Moyes is under “huge pressure” at the moment, and while his job is safe for now, the situation could easily change if the results do not go in their way.

There can be many factors why the Hammers are under-performing, but the most glaring evidence is that Moyes is struggling to get the best out of the players he signed in the summer.

There will be plenty of time for reflection during the winter break, but for now, West Ham must focus on picking up all three points against Leicester today.
