Tony Cottee predicts result of West Ham United Premier League clash v Wolves

Tony Cottee has made his prediction ahead of the Premier League clash between West Ham United and Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers travel to Molineux for a game with both teams looking to get back to winning ways with David Moyes’ side winless in their last four in the Premier League, while Wolves are winless in their last three in all competitions.

West Ham could go level on points with Manchester United in sixth place with a win and predicting the result on his personal Twitter account (6 April), Cottee backed his former side to come out on top.

“Yet another big game today and that top 7 finish is still in our hands if we win at Wolves,” he said.

“I’m confident, 2-1 to the Hammers.”

West Ham must build momentum with win v Wolves

It’s been a difficult run of games recently for West Ham, with three draws and a defeat in their last four games in the top flight.

But the team are still more than in contention for a finish in the European places with a good end to the season, and the Hammers will also want to build momentum for their Europa League run.

David Moyes has to prepare his team for games against an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen team in order to try and progress to the Europa League semi-finals, and going into that game without a win in five games isn’t ideal.

Wolves are a good team with good players, but they are overachieving this season under Gary O’Neil and with the squad West Ham have they should be able to come away victorious relatively comfortably.

But with recent performances that is easier said than done, and Moyes must find a solution to fix the teams patchy away form.
